Winter is an exciting time in Denali National Park and Preserve; there are opportunities for people of all ages and skill levels to enjoy the park, which is open year round.
Park Ranger Sarah Hayes and one of the park’s canine rangers will visit Beaver Sports in Fairbanks on Thursday, 6-7:30 p.m., where everyone is invited to come meet the dog and learn how and why the park still uses sled dogs
Ranger Hayes and her companion represent the historic Denali Sled Dogs Kennels and the approximately 30 sled dogs at the kennels.
Ranger Hayes will also talk about ways visitors may enjoy the park in the winter, like cross country skiing, snowshoeing and a myriad of winter activities and recreation opportunities.
Beaver Sports is located at 3480 College Road in Fairbanks.
As part of the National Park Service Centennial celebration, everyone is encouraged to #FindYourPark this winter!
