Denali National Park and Preserve is hosting a special free string orchestra concert on Saturday, July 21 at 7:00 pm at the Denali Visitor Center. The concert features Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival's 16-piece string orchestra playing "Denali," a piece inspired by composer Stephen Lias' visit to the park last year. Special guest Caitlin Warbelow, an award-winning fiddler, will accompany the orchestra during part of the performance. The orchestra is led by music director Robert Franz. It is the first orchestra performance to take place inside Denali National Park.

A reception follows immediately afterwards at the Morino Grill, hosted by Doyon/Aramark Joint Venture.

The concert is the culmination of a week-long Denali Music Festival, which will include performances by Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival artists throughout the Denali Borough. This special outreach is the result of a new collaboration between the longtime study-performance Festival and the Denali Arts & Humanities Alliance.

On Sunday, July 22, the orchestra and the Tri-Valley High School Choir will travel to the Eielson Visitor Center for a special collaboration performance taking place around noon - 1:00 pm.
