Blue Mesa Reservoir Open

Gunnison, Colo. – Effective at 3:00 pm, all areas of Blue Mesa Reservoir will be open to all water activities on the surface. The closure issued on July 18, 2025, is released and rescinded.

The South Rim fire started on July 10, 2025, and remains active. Information on the fire can be found at https://inciweb.wildfire.gov/incident-information/cobcp-south-rim.
