Story Map Guidance for NPS WASO CR Staff
ArcGIS StoryMaps is a popular application used by the GIS community to share maps in the context of narrative and other content. The newest release of StoryMaps is different than the classic NPS StoryMaps templates, so the GISC Cartography and Web Mapping subcommittee authored StoryMap Builder Guidance to ensure users establish proper NPS branding and 508 compliance. These guidelines apply to all internal and public facing StoryMaps. The document provides detailed steps on how to meet 508 compliance and how to create NPS branding using Theme Builder. Theme builder creates a visual style for elements that will match the NPS graphic identity. The theme will be saved in your own AGOL profile. Sharing themes between others in the organization is coming soon.More About CRGIS
