Exploring Coronado Cave will expose students to the awesome power of time, water, and the earth. Students will unravel the mystery of how water shapes our landscape and discover plants and animals that live in the park and the cave. This one mile round-trip hike includes a 500-foot elevation gain and a short section of steep, loose terrain. This program takes 2 to 2.5 hours for 1 class (25 students), and 3.5 to 4 hours for 2 classes (50 students).
Like all our education programs, this field trip is free of charge.
Group Size: 1 - 2 classes (up to 50 students); chaperones are mandatory (check with park for adult to student ratios).
