Starting October 15th Colorado National Monument to Temporarily Close Cold Shivers Overlook for Repairs and Public Safety

Colorado National Monument will temporarily close the overlook at Cold Shivers Point from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, starting October 15^th and extending through November 5^th. The overlook and view will not be accessible; however, the parking area is still open and traffic on Rim Rock Drive will not be affected. Cold Shivers Point is the first overlook as you drive in through the east entrance. Proceeding easterly, the next overlook open with a vista opportunity is Red Canyon Overlook.

This temporary closure will allow work crews to safely make repairs and replace existing railing and ensure public safety. Thank you for your patience.
