Fruita, CO – The yellow and white striping on Rim Rock Drive will be repainted the week of May 18 – 21, 2021. MRM Construction Services will start the painting operation at the west entrance on Tuesday morning, May 18, 2021. Work on the east (Grand Junction) side of the monument is expected to happen on Wednesday, May 19th between 9:00am and 4:00pm. Visitors and Glade Park residents could experience delays up to 30 minutes. For those traveling to and from the Glade Park community, use of Little Park Road will minimize potential delays.

To allow for continued use of Rim Rock Drive during the day, a rolling closure will be in place. For the safety of those working on this project and everyone else using the road, please pass the equipment only when directed to by company or monument staff.

Weather or equipment problems could change this schedule without notice, and the absence of any delays may allow the project to be completed early.

The visitor center is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. For additional information please visit www.nps.gov/colm or call 970-858-2800.
