ONE-WAY VEHICLE TRAFFIC November 13, 8:00 am to 1:00pm On Saturday, November 13, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., portions of Rim Rock Drive in Colorado National Monument will be temporarily closed to facilitate the annual Rim Rock Marathon. One-way vehicle traffic including bicycles will only be permitted from the west entrance (Fruita) to the east entrance ( The race will start near the east entrance of As the race progresses, During the one-way restriction, the speed limit for the entire road will be 25 miles per hour, and no passing will be permitted. Motor vehicles and bicycles will be limited to eastbound travel only. Rim Runners will be shuttled from the Finish Line area ( The Rim Rock Marathon is a special event that is authorized under a National Park Service special use permit. The race, formerly known as the Rim Rock Run, has taken place annually on the second Saturday of November since 1993. Ascent Productions is the business coordinating and executing the race.
