This crowd-sourced activity allows community members the opportunity to share their favorite collections of artifacts, photos, postcards, passport books, ornaments, and mementos from Colorado National Monument with visitors and other history enthusiasts. The monument will have tables set up to for people to display their treasures and tell their stories. To start this pop-up museum, Colorado National Monument Association members Steve & Denise Hight have generously provided the monument staff with a small portion of their historical black & white photo collection. Several former and current National Park Service and Colorado National Monument Association employees have assisted in taking the “Now” photos for this fun photo project. If you are interested in sharing your treasures for just this one day, please call (970)-858-3617 x360 so we can be sure to have a table ready for you. The “Then and Now” photos will be displayed 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Please come and share your collections with us and our visitors during this time. Summer hours are in effect at Colorado National Monument. The visitor center is open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily.
