Happy 103rd Birthday National Park Service

Fruita, CO – Come celebrate the National Park Service’s 103rd anniversary on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at the Saddlehorn Visitor Center. Activities are planned throughout the day.

  • 9:00 a.m. – Artist John Lintott provide an art activity for children

  • 10:00 a.m. – Ranger Paula Willoughby will present “The History of the National Park Service”

  • 1:00 p.m. – Retired Superintendent Ken Mabery will exhibiting his collection of NPS memorabilia

  • 2:00 p.m. – Ranger Paula Willoughby will present “The History of the National Park Service”   


Refreshments will be provided by Colorado National Monument Association.

Summer hours are now in effect at Colorado National Monument. The visitor center is open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily. For additional information please visit www.nps.gov/colm or call 970-858-3617, ext. 360.
