Join Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park rangers and volunteers at the Historic Great Falls Tavern for interpretive programs and activities during the winter season. Until March 29, 2015, visitors can participate in a Ranger's Choice Program starting at 2:00 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Example of program topics include exploring 19th century life at Great Falls, taking a hike with a ranger, discovering the diversity of nature or participating in a lock demonstration. Please call ahead to confirm programs in the event of inclement weather. There is an entrance fee to the park of $5.00 per single vehicle. Programs are free of charge. The Great Falls, Maryland area of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park is located at the intersection of Falls, Road and MacArthur Blvd. in Potomac, Maryland.
