News Release Date: December 30, 2015

 The Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park announces the award for towpath repairs between Mile Marker 117-123, just above Licking Creek to Lock 52. The work will start approximately the 4th of January. The total construction period will run approximately 3 months. The towpath will remain open to visitors with only minor (10-15 minute) delays expected.

The park regrets any inconvenience this may cause our visitors. Visitors are asked to exercise caution when using the towpath in this area. The pedestrians and cyclists will be allowed to pass through the construction site. Visitors are asked to follow the posted signs and adjust their travel accordingly.
