Williamsport, Md. – Attention West Virginia 4th Grade Teachers! If you are interested in bringing your students to the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park (C&O Canal), we invite you to attend our teacher workshop Wednesday, August 16th in Williamsport, Maryland to learn about curriculum programs offered to students during the school year. Each workshop includes a 2 1/2-hour training on our curriculum-aligned park programs and classroom extension materials. Participating teachers will receive a $200 stipend and are guaranteed bus funding in the 2017-18 school year to visit the park with their class. Teachers may choose to sign up for either session; however, space is limited to 10 teachers per session and reservations are first come, first serve.
