Abner Cloud House Open House

Washington, DC - The Colonial Dames of America, Chapter III, will be hosting an open house at the Abner Cloud House this Sunday, March 5, from 12 PM until 5 PM. Located in the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park (C&O Canal), the Abner Cloud House is operated by the Colonial Dames of America under a cooperative agreement with the National Park Service. The open house will enable the public to experience the three-story, fully furnished stone house built in 1801 by Abner Cloud, Jr., a Quaker from Pennsylvania. The highlight of the open house will be a new collection of antique toys that The Colonial Dames of America will showcase. Docents will be available to provide tours and answer questions about the Abner Cloud House.

The event is free and open to the public. The Abner Cloud House is located at 4940 Canal Road, NW, Washington, DC 20007. Parking can be found immediately adjacent to the Abner Cloud House.
