Fort Oglethorpe, GA: Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park invites the public to attend a variety of special programs during Memorial Day weekend.

On Saturday, May 28, at Point Park on Lookout Mountain, there will be a special Memorial Day Artillery program commemorating the men and women whose lives have been lost in service to our nation. Visitors are invited to bring a photograph or small memento of a friend or loved one who died in the line of duty, as these servicemen and women will be recognized during the program. Artillery programs are scheduled at 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm, and 3:30 pm. In addition to these programs, there will be ranger-guided tours of Point Park at 11 am and 2 pm on Saturday and Sunday, and Cravens House on Lookout Mountain will be open to the public from 1 pm to 5 pm all weekend.

At Chickamauga Battlefield, there will be a special car caravan tour on Saturday, May 28, focusing on "The Fallen Leaders of Chickamauga." This program will begin at 11 am inside the Chickamauga Battlefield Visitor Center and will last approximately two hours. In addition to this special program, there will be ranger-guided car caravan tours of the battlefield at 10 am and 2 pm and living history programs are scheduled throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday.

There are no admission fees to Chickamauga Battlefield, and all programs are free of charge. Admission to Point Park on Lookout Mountain is $5 per adult, ages 16 and older (ages 15 and younger are free), and there are no fees to visit Cravens House.
