163rd Anniversary Commemorating the Battle of Chickamauga

From Friday, September 18 to Sunday, September 20, Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park will host a variety of special programs to mark the 163rd Anniversary of the Battle of Chickamauga. This will include a major living history program, ranger-guided tours and presentations, as well as in-depth battle hikes led by the park's historian.

In addition to the numerous programs taking place during the anniversary weekend, on Saturday, September 19, America's National Parks (Eastern National) will host Maury Nicely, author of Forging a New South: The Life of General John T. Wilder, for a book signing, at the Chickamauga Battlefield Visitor Center, from 10 am - 4 pm.
