Effective immediately, Chamizal National Memorial will be closed to all visitors until further notice in response to guidance from the El Paso County public health department.

The health and safety of our visitors, employees, volunteers, and partners is our number one priority. The National Park Service (NPS) is working servicewide with federal, state, and local authorities to closely monitor the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are working closely with our partners to support city and countywide efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19, based on local public health guidance,” said Chamizal National Memorial Superintendent Gus Sanchez.

The NPS encourages people to take advantage of the many digital tools already available to explore Chamizal National Memorial, including: the park website and Facebook

Updates about NPS operations will be posted on www.nps.gov/coronavirus. We will notify the public when we resume full operations and provide updates on our website www.nps.gov/cham/, and social media channels.
