The Chamizal Convention was negotiated, signed, and implemented by the United States and Mexico within a single decade. Events leading up to the treaty spanned over a century. The effects of the treaty continue to ripple through the US-Mexico borderland and beyond, even today. The people who have been connected to El Chamizal are countless, and many stories remain untold—perhaps even yours. Do you have any little-known stories about people and events connected to Chamizal history, life in El Paso-Ciudad Juárez culture during the 1960s, or other examples of cooperation between the United States and Mexico? Please share them with us!
