Historic home tour reservations suspended at this time. At this time, tours are free and are available at a first come, first serve basis.

Tours are currently given Wednesday through Sunday at 11, 12, 1, 2, & 3. Please call 828-693-4178 prior to your arrival to see if tours for that day are available.

When the park resumes reservations for house tours, these opportunities will be listed here at Recreation.gov .

 

Permits

Certain types of activities require a special use permit. These include many types of organized gatherings, distribution of printed material and other public expressions of opinion, and other activities that are controlled or prohibited.

Some common activities that require a permit include:

• Commercial Photography
• Weddings
• First Amendment Activities
