Virtual Ranger Visits

Open to all classrooms regardless of location! For classes that unable to have in-person learning or are located far from the park, we are excited to visit you virtually. The education staff can bring the park into your classroom via a distance learning program. Our Virtual Learning programs utilize web-based video conferencing software, such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams, and typically last 15-45 minutes.

At this time virtual visits to Cane River Creole National Historical Park are offered on a limited basis and are subject to staff availability. Programs are typically scheduled on Thursdays and Fridays, with occasional availability on Mondays and Tuesdays. Please contact the park in advance to inquire about scheduling options and confirm availability.

Additional Accessible Programing
Everyone can “Meet a Park Ranger” though the web! Our education staff will be happy to assist you in planning your customized Ranger led learning experience that meets the needs of your specific student(s). This can range from “What does a Park Ranger Do? Q&A” to reading a storybook.
