"Come join us as we celebrate "Keeping Traditions Alive," says Shirley Torgerson, Executive Director of Capitol Reef Natural History Association. Events will be held a the Gifford House beginning at 9:00 am and running through 6:00 pm. There will be live music and cultural demonstrations on quilting and rug twinning. Learn about branding, sheep herding, and the process for smoking meat. Local historians will share stories from the past. A special history program will begin at 1:00 pm and an evening showing of "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" will be held at the amphitheater at 8:00 pm.
