The Capitol Reef National Park Visitor Center will be open 8:00 am to 6:00 pm daily starting Sunday May 4, 2014. Enjoy the exhibits, park movie, and the Capitol Reef Natural History Association bookstore.

Geology talks will be offered at the visitor center at 10:00 am daily and Fremont Culture talks will be offered at the petroglyph panel at 3:00 pm, which is located 1 mile (1.6 km) east of the visitor center on Highway 24. Evening programs will be offered at the campground amphitheater after sunset and moon walks, stargazing, and guided geology hikes will be offered as staffing allows. Check at the visitor center for dates and times of these and other special programs.

Ripple Rock Nature Center will be open daily from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm starting May 17 through August 8. The facility offers interactive exhibits and displays. Nature talks will be offered at 2:00 pm and Junior Geologist programs will be offered at 3:30 pm from May 21 through August 8.

The Gifford House store and museum, located 1 mile (1.6 km) south of the visitor center on Scenic Drive, will be open 8:00 am to 6:00 pm daily starting Sunday May 4, 2014. Information on Mormon pioneer history is on display. Fresh baked pies, breads, and pastries will be available for purchase each day. Stop by for a "taste" of history.
