Located adjacent to Canaveral National Seashore is the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and Kennedy Space Center. Kennedy Space Center owns approximately 140,000 acres. A portion of the seashore and all of the Wildlife Refuge is KSC property. There are a number of historic landmark sites on the jointly managed properties. The National Park Service manages the culural and historical resources within these properties.
