The Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail has four visitor centers located throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Historic Jamestowne and Gloucester County Visitor Center in coastal Virginia, Sultana Education Foundation in northeastern Maryland, and the Zimmerman Center for Heritage in southeastern Pennsylvania. Historic Jamestowne serves as the trail's headquarters and one of two trail visitor centers in Virginia.
Zimmerman Center for Heritage
The Zimmerman Center is the trail's gateway to the Susquehanna River and Native Lands Park, the site of the last Susquehannock village.
Gloucester County Visitor Center
Historic downtown Gloucester is home to an exciting new exhibit about nearby Werowocomoco, the center of power during the Powhatan Chiefdom.
Sultana Education Foundation
Named after its replica schooner, Sultana is a premier environmental and historical education center in Chesterfield, Maryland.
