Ranger-Guided Activities

Rangers and partners offer a variety of public activities from late spring until fall. Some programs provide hands-on explorations of seashore resources.

Ranger and volunteer-guided programs are generally offered from May through October. Settings include trails, beaches, salt marshes, ponds, historic buildings, and on the grounds of the Salt Pond and Province Lands visitor centers. Topics are as varied as seashore resources, including beach and saltmarsh ecology, maritime history, the area's art and literature legacies, wildlife, plants, and the First People, plus performance events, like concerts and theater productions. In addition, many seashore partners offer public programs. 

For advance planning, check the online calendar, and upon arrival at the seashore, consult program flyers posted at visitor centers, and ask the visitor center rangers about any pop-up programs that may be occurring on that day.
