Superintendent George Price announced contracts have now been awarded for the repairs to national seashore beach facilities which suffered damage from storms this past winter. In Eastham, the Nauset Light Beach stairs repair has been awarded to CMGC Building Corporation, who will be working with the subcontractor Stephen Creswell Construction. In Provincetown, the Herring Cove North parking lot repair has been awarded to Tantara Corporation, who will be working with the subcontractor Lawrence Lynch Corporation.

There will be no beach access to Nauset Light Beach until all the repairs are completed. There will be some vehicle access to a limited number of spaces at the Herring Cove North lot depending on the nature of the construction demands, which will vary during the course of the project. The repair project at Herring Cove North lot will not impact access to Herring Cove South lot or Race Point Beach parking lot.

Both facilities are anticipated to be open by Memorial Day Weekend, provided there are no unexpected delays.

Project updates will be posted on the park's website at www.nps.gov/caco.
