The spring turkey hunt in the national seashore will be consistent with most of the Massachusetts Department of Fish and Wildlife regulations. A national seashore turkey hunting permit will be required at no cost. This is in addition to the state hunting license and turkey permit. The turkey hunting permits at the national seashore will be issued through a lottery system and each permit will be good for one week. Hunters must obtain a Massachusetts hunting license and turkey permit prior to entering the national seashore turkey hunting permit lottery. The 2014 national seashore turkey hunting season will run the first three weeks of the state four-week turkey season, from April 28 through May 17. ###
