WELLFLEET, Mass. – Cape Cod National Seashore and Friends of the Cape Cod National Seashore invite the public to Eastham’s Red Maple Swamp Trail on Friday, May 24 at 10 am to celebrate completion of the trail’s rehabilitation. The project was made possible by major funding from Friends and an innovative construction approach by seashore staff. The event is free and open to the public.

Meet at the Hemenway Landing side of the trail, located at the end of Hemenway Road, off Route 6 in Eastham. There will be brief remarks and donor recognition, a show and tell of construction methods and inventive tools used, and a short guided walk with a plant ecologist to experience the trail’s natural qualities.
