WELLFLEET, Mass – Fall is the perfect time to explore the national seashore. Days are typically pleasant, with blue skies, comfortable temperatures, and lower humidity. National seashore rangers are offering free programs through October, including dune hikes, salt marsh rambles, a photography hike, short talks at visitor centers, and a beach walk focused on sharks and seals. Superintendent Carlstrom will host an annual seashore update, and there will be an event to celebrate the recent completion of a boardwalk rehabilitation project in Wellfleet. Bring a mask to programs in case social distancing is not possible. The following programs are offered through October:

Both programs last one hour and involve a walk of up to one mile in loose sand.
