ORLEANS, Mass. – The National Park Service today signed a ten year lease with CJNL, Inc. of Brewster, MA to operate at a motel in Cape Cod National Seashore at the former location of Nauset Knolls Motor Lodge. The original motor lodge was built in 1950 prior to the establishment of the Cape Cod National Seashore. The property overlooks Nauset Beach in Orleans, MA and was operated for many years as a National Park Service (NPS) concession contract by the Benz Corporation. The Benz Corporation completed their contract with the NPS in 2018. The NPS advertised a Request for Proposals seeking a new lessee. CJNL, Inc. submitted a proposal to the National Park Service (NPS) to operate a hotel at the Nauset Knolls Motor Lodge and the signing of the lease is the culmination of negotiations. "We are very excited that visitors will be able to continue to enjoy the outstanding experience at this beautiful oceanside location," said Park Superintendent Brian Carlstrom.
