On Tuesday, June 21 at 7 PM at the Salt Pond Visitor Center in Eastham, join Jim Owens for a slideshow presentation of historic Eastham. This program will include Jim's large collection of photos as Eastham has grown throughout the years, including results of winter storms. As a native of Eastham, Jim attended the old elementary school in second and third grade. He graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design, worked as a commercial artist for eight years, and then taught art at Nauset High School for 26 years.He is a past president of the Eastham Historical Society, and has been collecting old photos and stories of Eastham for many years. This upcoming program is part of the annual "Tuesday Evening Series" at Salt Pond Visitor Center in Eastham. Held weekly at 7 PM in the summer in the air-cooled comfort of the visitor center auditorium, programs focus on the diverse natural and cultural resources of the Outer Cape and are suitable for all ages. Programs are free of charge and accessible. The series is sponsored by Friends of the Cape Cod National Seashore.
