Keith Michael Johnson's kid-friendly program, "Wild About Weather," is jam-packed with funny demonstrations, audience interaction, and solid meteorological science. Join Keith Michael Johnson for this free, one-hour presentation at 7 PM on Tuesday, August 18 at Salt Pond Visitor Center in Eastham.

Weather is exciting stuff and no wonder; we live on a planet where air is heavy, water is sticky, and lightning strikes 100 times a second. Add it all up and we arrive at an understanding that the atmosphere around us is much more dynamic than it looks! "Wild About Weather" takes a creative and quirky look at clouds, air pressure, the water cycle, weather instruments and forecasts. In the words of Ben Franklin, "Some people are weather wise and some people are otherwise." This action packed, whirlwind of a show is sure to spark everyone's imaginations.

As a part-time special-education student in elementary school, Keith Michael Johnson developed two skills that led to his success: humor and perseverance. Keith has parlayed his curious and unique approach to elementary school studies into a series of programs that make math, history, reading and science engaging, educational, and unforgettable. Keith started his "show business" in 1986 and now performs 300 programs a year throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. He's a graduate of Roger Williams University and Ringling Brothers, Barnum &Bailey Clown College, where he fine-tuned his comedy skills and earned a BFA (Bachelor of Fun Arts).

This upcoming program is part of the annual "Tuesday Evening Series" at Salt Pond Visitor Center in Eastham. Held weekly at 7 PM in the summer in the air-cooled comfort of the visitor center auditorium, programs cover the diverse natural and cultural resources of the Outer Cape and are suitable for all ages, free of charge and accessible. The series is sponsored by the Friends of the Cape Cod National Seashore.
