Comedian, nature lover, and educator Henry Lappen will bring his popular family presentation, "A Passion for Birds" to Cape Cod National Seashore's Salt Pond Visitor Center at 11:00 AM on Sunday, April 19. The show is free, and sponsored by Eastern National, the park's book and gift store partner.

Henry uses realistic, handmade masks to explore how different birds have evolved different shapes and behaviors to adapt to their environment. Participants get a chance to try on the masks and soar as eagles, swim as puffins, and stalk as herons. The program is engaging and entertaining for all ages.

Henry has been performing comedy for over 30 years. He has been an avid student of nature since childhood. In this show, he combines his love and knowledge of birds, with his comic timing, and artistry in mask-making and performing. Henry studied mime, mask, and clowning at California's Dell'Arte School of Physical Comedy. He is a member of the Hampshire Bird Club and Northeast Hawkwatch. Henry was a great blue heron in a past life.
