Cabrillo National Monument Visitor Center

Constructed between 1963 and 1967, the Cabrillo National Monument Visitor Center Historic District offers commanding views of the San Diego coast along with interpretive exhibits and programs. This Visitor Center, part of the National Park Service's Mission 66 Program to revitalize the National Parks post-WWII, represents the modern image of the Park Service. It stands as a significant expression of Park Service Modern style and uniquely exemplifies Mission 66 objectives in a southern California coastal context. The design incorporates modernist forms adapted to California's Mediterranean climate and tradition of outdoor space utilization.

The Visitor Center is the ideal place to start exploring Cabrillo National Monument. Rangers and volunteers are available to answer questions and offer suggestions on activities. Here you can:
