Open Tower Day is always dependent on the weather. Please check with the Visitor Center for updated information.
There are three days each year when the tower in the Old Point Loma Lighthouse is open to the public. During these days, the tower is open from 10am - 3:30pm.
If you do not feel comfortable climbing a ladder without assistance at home, then you should not participate in this activity. Due to the risk of serious injury, we will not allow family members to help each other up the ladder. Please consider a different activity, such as touring the assistant keepers quarters or the first story of the lighthouse.
August 25: Founder's Day - Do you love your National Parks? If you do, come and celebrate the anniversary of the establishment of the National Park Service at Cabrillo NM. Living History re-enactors will be on hand.
November 15: Open Tower Day - Step back in time as Cabrillo celebrates the anniversary of the lighting of the Old Point Loma Lighthouse.
