Over the past year, a few of our dedicated tidepool volunteers have worked passionately in putting together a fun, interactive children’s sticker book. The book, now available for purchase in the Visitors Center, highlights 12 of our most favorite salty friends to discover in the Cabrillo tidepools.
Beginning with a brief introduction to the Park, Rocky Intertidal ecosystems, and tidepool safety, the Tidepool Sticker Book acts as an adventure log for explorers of all ages. With this helpful tool, visitors cannot only learn more about what they are seeing, but can commemorate finding each organism by placing a sticker on their individual descriptions.
Cabrillo National Monument is especially grateful to VIPs Dan and Becky Wieder who helped see this special project to completion.
"We wanted children and their parents to have an informative and fun guide to help them explore the tidepools at Cabrillo National Monument. CNM has so many creatures that are not often seen in other places, and this guide exposes young explorers to many of the wonders unique to our tidepools. We feel it is important to encourage kids to learn as much as they can about their world and to have fun while they learn.", expressed the Wieder family.
Pick up your Tidepool Sticker Book today in the Cabrillo National Monument Visitor’s Center and join us for the low tides this winter season. Happy Tidepooling!
