The EcoLogik Project Summer Program looks to provide a platform for underrepresented young girls (ages 9-16) who show specialized interest in the natural and technical sciences, but lack opportunity to explore these careers.
NPS Photo/Nicole Ornelas, Zed Sevcikova Sehyr, Neuroscientist at SDSU, talks to eager participants about how your brain comprehends words.
June 2018 we hosted our first Summer Program of the year with 30 amazing young scientists. In two weeks, these young women learned some techniques to merge ecology and technology to explore the multifaceted and dynamic approach to science, technology, engineering and math for the 21st century. They also learned what it means to be a Scientist; not pretend, but the real thing. Take a look.
