Bryce Canyon Visitor Center Summer Hours

The prairie dogs have awakened from their winter sleep and songbirds are returning from the south. The park’s snowpack is slowly dwindling from the sunny days and 50-degree temperatures.

In preparation for the approaching summer season, the Bryce Canyon Visitor Center will be open from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM starting on April 6th and expanding to 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM on May 11th. Here you can plan your visit with information on hiking, attractions and interpretive programs. An award-winning 22-minute video, Shadows of Time, and museum exhibits provide an orientation to the park’s natural and cultural features. The Bryce Canyon Natural History Association sells books, publications and gifts to make your stay more enjoyable.

Entrance fees are $25 per vehicle and good for 7 days in Bryce Canyon National Park. Camping fees are $10 per night in North Campground. Additional sites will open up as weather permits.

The Bryce Canyon Lodge will open April 1st for lodging, food and gifts. The park’s free shuttle buses will begin service on May 23rd operating from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM daily.

Although temperatures are warming up, visitors are reminded to prepare for possible snowy conditions, icy roads, and muddy trails. Currently the park is mostly snow-covered, and trails and roads may be temporarily closed due to weather.

For more information, please visit the park’s website at: www.nps.gov/brca or call 435-834-5322.
