Bryce Canyon Association

The Bryce Canyon Association (BCA) is the official non-profit partner of Bryce Canyon National Park. In addition to operating the Visitor Center Bookstore they provide support for programs such as the Junior Ranger program, the park newspaper, annual Geology and Astronomy Festivals, internships, and much more.

Supporting Bryce Canyon since 1961

The Bryce Canyon Association supports education, research, infrastructure, and unique programs of all kinds for the benefit of Bryce Canyon National Park. Combined with sales from our bookstore, BCA members have provided over $9 million dollars of support to this world-renowned natural resource and the experience of its visitors.

Weather-Ready Nation (WRN)

Bryce Canyon National Park is a Weather-Ready Nation (WRN) Ambassador. The WRN initiative is a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration program to formally recognize NOAA partners who are improving the nation's readiness against extreme weather, water, and climate events.

International Dark Sky Association

In August of 2019, the National Park Service and the International Dark-Sky Association announced Bryce Canyon National Park as an International Dark Sky Park. This certification recognizes the exceptional quality of the park’s night skies and provides added opportunities to enhance visitor experiences through astronomy-based interpretive programming.

International Dark Sky Park certification promotes public education and astronomy-based recreation in parks while improving energy efficiency and reduced operational costs through outdoor lighting upgrades, which in turn creates economic opportunities for neighboring communities through astronomy-based tourism.

Southern Utah University

Every five years, Bryce Canyon National Park and Southern Utah University (SUU) renew the Alliance for Education, the purpose of which is to:

  • Protect Park resources and provide for enhanced visitor opportunities
  • Educate students about Park resources
  • Provide excellent educational and experiential opportunities for SUU students
  • Continue to enhance the economic, technological, and cultural development of the communities served

Through the alliance the two organizations have conducted research, created transformational learning programs and engaged students through conservation crews and internships.

The Lodge at Bryce Canyon and Ruby's Inn

Both the Lodge at Bryce Canyon and Ruby's Inn participate in the $1 Donation Program. Through this program, hotel guests can donate a dollar to the park each night of their visit. Since 2004 over $900,000 has been contributed to fund seasonal employees and visitor services.
