Recreational boaters, sailors, and paddlers can get to some islands on their own. Public moorings are available for reservation. Getting to the Boston Harbor Islands Welcome CenterThe Boston Harbor Islands National and State Park Welcome Center is located on the Rose Kennedy Greenway. Public TransportationBoston is most easily accessed by its public transportation system, the MBTA. Commonly called the "T," public transportation provides easy access to the Welcome Center. The closest T stop is Aquarium (Blue line), which is located just down the block at State Street. For more information, please visit the MBTA website. DrivingDriving in Boston can be difficult; we suggest that you take public transit. Many subway stations have parking lots with rates ranging from $2 to $15 for the day.
