Geology The island is composed of low granite and slate outcroppings and fine gravel beach. Rising three feet in elevation, the island is difficult to see at high tide. The island was larger and higher prior to quarrying in the colonial period. Water Features No constructed water features. Views and Vistas Due to its low elevation, the island is difficult to see from other harbor islands or the mainland. The island is located between Wollaston Beach, Squantum, Moon, Long, Rainsford, Peddocks and Nut islands.
