For over 80 years visitors have flocked to Blue Ridge Parkway to enjoy all of the wonderful things this park and area have to offer. Many have forged meaningful connections to this beautiful ribbon of road. Continuing to provide a high-quality experience for an ever increasing number of park visitors is a challenging feat. A feat that takes hundreds of dedicated employees, numerous park partners and a very special group of individuals who give their time freely to preserve this special place.

In 2021, over 1,200 volunteers contributed more than 40,000 hours in service to the Blue Ridge Parkway and supporting our staff in preserving and protecting this special place. We hope you will join us for our first annual Virtual Volunteer Recognition event to learn more about this wonderful work and to honor some very special volunteers. |
