Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area will celebrate the 32nd annual Haunting in the Hills Storytelling Festival on Saturday, September 21, 2024. Traditional arts and crafts as well as food services will be included as part of the festival throughout the day. The park encourages all interested craft and food vendors to participate in this year’s festival.
Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area is celebrating its 50th birthday this year! And we are celebrating the park's Golden Birthday all year long. Come help celebrate this special place on the upper Cumberland Plateau, and its significance as a unit of the National Park System.
A one-time fee of $25 is required for vendors interested in selling crafts or food items during this one-day festival. The National Park Service’s policy regarding food sales requires proof of general liability insurance as well as completing an approved food manager certification. All vendors will need to bring their own tent, table, chairs, and equipment. Food vendors only will be provided electrical hook-ups along with access to a water hydrant. Generators are not permitted.
Interested individuals can download the application online here: https://www.nps.gov/biso/getinvolved/commercial-use-authorization-application-and-requirements.htm. Contact the Fee Program Manager at (423) 569-7321, or by email at BISO_cua_sup@nps.gov for more information. All applications need to be submitted no later than Monday, September 16, 2024.
