ONEIDA, Tenn. — Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area is offering a 10-year concession contract for the Charit Creek Lodge. Through Oct. 20, the National Park Service is accepting business proposals to operate rustic lodging, food and beverage, alcoholic beverages, retail and stabling at Charit Creek Lodge.
“We’re looking for a passionate and thoughtful operator who’s committed to providing a high-quality visitor experience at the unique and historic Charit Creek Lodge,” said Superintendent Niki Stephanie Nicholas. "The lodge provides visitors with rustic 19th-century charm, comfortable lodging, hearty home-cooked meals and an analog escape."
Proposals are due on Oct. 20. The park will offer a site visit on Sept. 9 for businesses interested in submitting a proposal. The prospectus with specific details about the proposal, submission process and deadlines is available at www.nps.gov/subjects/concessions/prospectuses.
