Big Hole National Battlefield and Bear Paw Battlefield Looking for Cultural Presenters

Wisdom, MT. - Big Hole National Battlefield invites you to become a cultural presenter! Big Hole is seeking applicants for Coyote Camp (September 16-20) and the Summer Speaker Series (weekends June 29-August 17). Come share your stories and skills with our guests!

Coyote Camp is a week-long event for school groups, hosting up to 200 students a day. The Summer Speaker Series features short programs that share your expertise with our guests. Housing, mileage (depending on distance), per diem, and an honorarium is available for both Coyote Camp and Summer Speaker Series presenters. Opportunities for presenting at Bear Paw Battlefield, with provided mileage, housing, and per diem, may also be available during the summer season. 

What is a Cultural Presenter? Someone who shares their stories, knowledge, and skills with the public. We want to highlight your connection to Big Hole and show our appreciation for the rich history and living cultural of the nimí·pu· (Nez Perce) and the Big Hole Valley. Previous presenters have shared topics as diverse as traditional nimí·pu· foods, flint knapping, and fire management in the region.
