We are pleased to announce that renovation work at the Belmont-Paul Women’s Equality National Monument is scheduled to begin in mid- to late-January 2022. Funded through the Great American Outdoors Act, the work will include replacement of the existing standing seam metal roof, rehabilitation of all the historic windows and terrace doors; upgrades to the heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems; structural repairs to select flooring areas; and installation of a new fire sprinkler system in the Florence Bayard Hilles Feminist Library. We anticipate that the project will take approximately 12 months.

During construction, the museum will remain closed to the general public. We are hoping to be able to welcome visitors again in early 2023.
