Geometry is everywhere at Bent's Old Fort! The circumference of a wagon wheel, the volume of a bail of buffalo robes, the area of a Conestoga wagon bed, and the angles in colorful Native American beadwork designs are just the beginning.

These 13 story problems take objects and artifacts from our 1830's southern Great Plains trading post and give you the opportunity to learn about their history as you uncover the math they contain.

Solve problems of volume, area, radius, diameter, circumference, and angle types and measurements with Bent's Fort themed task cards. Make math relevant and practical by using its language to describe prairie life at the beginning of Westward expansion.
