Due to the accumulated snow that the current October winter storm has brought to New Mexico, Frijoles Canyon will be closed on Tuesday, October 27, 2020. This includes the Pueblo Loop Trail (cavates and ladders) and the Alcove House. The park visitor center, park store and café, all located in Frijoles Canyon (the main, visited area of Bandelier National Monument) are also included in this closure. Other trails in the park, outside of Frijoles Canyon, are open for day use; however, they are not cleared of snow. Expect winter weather conditions throughout the area.
Before heading out to Frijoles Canyon please check the park website www.nps.gov/band or call the visitor center at 505-672-3861, ext. 0 to check on any possible delays or further closures. Like us on Facebook BandelierNPS, follow us on Instagram and Twitter @BandelierNPS.
