We invite you to attend Bandelier National Monument’s popular Fall Fiesta. This year, Fall Fiesta will be held the weekend of October 12-13. This event will take place from 10 am to 3 pm on both Saturday and Sunday in Frijoles Canyon at the visitor center.“This is by far the largest Fall Fiesta event ever at Bandelier,” said Superintendent Patrick Suddath. “We are excited to host so many artisans and demonstrators this year. The experiences, history and artistry of these craftsmen really help to make connections to the people that have ancestral and traditional connections to this place. This is not something to be missed.” The event is being sponsored by the Friends of Bandelier National Monument and Western National Parks Association.
More than 40 vendors have signed up to participate in the event. Handmade items such as pottery, jewelry, drums, carvings, and more will be for sale. Dance groups will also perform throughout the weekend. There will be special ranger-led programs and guest speakers.
Please note that parking in Frijoles Canyon is limited. It is common for parking lots to reach full capacity. When this happens, visitors are not permitted to enter, and are asked to return later in the day. It is recommended to arrive before 9 am or after 3 pm to avoid parking lot congestion.
