Starting Monday, September 12, the Federal Highway Administration will begin work on repairing the significant failure of the southbound lane on Cedar Pass. Approximately 50-yards of the southbound lane has been closed and temporary traffic control signals are being used to manage two-way traffic on the northbound lane.
Truck traffic and repair work will require the continued use of temporary traffic control signals on that stretch of road 24/7, potentially through early November.
· Work will occur Monday through Saturday.
· Work is scheduled to occur between the hours of 7 am to 5:30 pm.
· Traffic may be stopped up to 20 minutes during the work schedule.
· After hours 5:30pm to 7am the maximum delay will be 5 minutes.
Please plan ahead and thank you for your patience while this important repair work is underway. More information about current park and road conditions will be available on the alerts section of the park’s website nps.gov/badl
